Acoustic instrumentation with ethereal, mysterious female vocals and a powerful rhythm section fill out this new release scheduled for Fall 2026, from Brenda Knight & John Trevethan. At the heart of the band is the double neck dulcitar/bazouki acoustic instrument. This is embellished with Brenda’s woodwinds including clarinet, flutes, and soprano sax. In addition to the double neck John also provides grand piano and acoustic guitar on several of the tracks. All of this is supported by heavy rock drums and fluid fretless bass lines.
Omassaya is a traditional Cornish word loosely meaning “to test oneself”.
