This CD chronicles several stages of Lyciris. Tracks 1-4 are the band’s second release: Beginning Endless Destiny – In Four Movements. These are the group’s impressions of the four ancient elements: Fire, Air, Water and Earth. During this period Lyciris was a trio consisting of Brian Groover (bass, drums, vocals), Denny Rambo (guitar), and John Trevethan (keyboards, guitars), Beginning Endless Destiny was released in 1977 on 8-track cartridge.
Shortly thereafter Lyciris was fortunate to have Joe Frisina join on drums. Joe was a very advanced musician and taught the band much, especially good timekeeping. The band recorded six original songs with Joe until he needed to move on to more lucrative opportunities (Lyciris never played a paying gig). Upon Joe’s leaving, former drummer Steve O’Laughlin rejoined the band, recording three songs, two of which feature Jack Kinder on vocals and lyrics. The last twelve songs on this album were never formally released
