monsdrum is using logic to take traditional scandinavian folkmusic to new heigths. This track was originally recorded with one of his bands, a folk orchestra featuring violin, viola, acoustic guitar and monsdrum on accordion. The recording was done in a churchroom with nice acoustics. Later on, the recording was twisted to pieces, overdubbed some 30 times with piano, church organ (sampled at the church where the song was originally recorded), plastic buckets, bottle capsules, typewriters and some other things too bizarre to mention, ground through EXS24 and Cool Edit, ending up in this remix. Wife and kid can be heard in the end - apparently quite enthusiastic about daddys music... Links: |
